Horseed International University joins the Somali Research and Education Network (SomaliREN) as its 30th member institution
We are delighted to announce that Horseed International University (HIU) has officially joined SomaliREN as our 30th member institution. Founded in 2010 by some of Somalia’s most distinguished scholars, HIU has earned a reputation as a leading institution in higher education, offering both undergraduate and postgraduate programs that address the evolving needs of the Somali academic community.
The university’s application underwent a thorough review by the SomaliREN secretariat and met all the necessary membership criteria. Following approval from the Board of Directors during the SomaliREN Annual Meeting in Nairobi on February 13, 2024, HIU’s membership status was confirmed. Today, HIU received its official membership certificate, signifying the start of a collaborative partnership within the SomaliREN network.
Joining SomaliREN will provide HIU with access to a robust digital infrastructure, enhanced opportunities for collaboration, and an active network of institutions dedicated to advancing education and research in Somalia. By becoming a part of SomaliREN, HIU reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and aligns with SomaliREN’s vision of fostering a prosperous society supported by globally connected education and research institutions.
We are delighted to welcome Horseed International University as a valued member of SomaliREN. We look forward to their contributions to our collective mission of advancing education, advancing research initiatives, aggregating demand, and strengthening Somalia’s research and education community.
